Before You Visit Us...

Before visiting the Linden Gun Range, we kindly ask all patrons to take a few moments to review the important information below. This page outlines our public range rules, safety expectations, and what to expect during your visit.

Taking the time to review this information helps ensure a safe, smooth, and enjoyable experience for everyone on the range. We truly appreciate your cooperation and look forward to welcoming you.

Range Safety Video and Liability Waiver

All guests are required to watch the LGR Range Safety Video while completing the Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement. This process is completed together as part of your waiver submission.

The safety video and waiver are a one-time requirement, with confirmation recorded in your customer profile. The liability waiver must be completed annually.

Completing the waiver online in advance will expedite your check-in upon arrival.

Valid Photo ID Required

A government-issued, current photo ID is required for all guests.
Expired IDs will not be accepted.

Firearms, Ammo, & Equipment

All participants must bring their own firearms equipped with appropriate sights or optics. Firearms must arrive unloaded and secured in a case.

Linden Gun Range does not provide firearm rentals.

Participants must also bring their own ammunition. Linden Gun Range does not currently sell ammunition on site or online.

Failure to arrive with the required firearms, ammunition, and equipment may prevent participation in training or range activities.

Check-In & Range Briefing

All guests—shooters and non-shooters—must check in at the LGR Pro Shop.

Check Before You Travel

Verify public range hours before making your trip.

We recommend calling ahead to confirm our hours. The range may be closed due to:

  • Inclement weather (heavy rain or wind)

  • Excessive heat (over 100°F)

  • Specific holidays

What to Bring... Required Safety Items

To shoot at LGR, please ensure you bring the following. All items are available for purchase.

  • Chamber Indicator Flag

  • Tape or Staple Gun

  • Eye Protection

  • Ear Protection

Transporting Firearms

All firearms must be transported in a case.
Firearms must remain cased unless on the firing line.

  • Use the provided tables behind the firing line to store gear.

  • Uncased firearms are only allowed at the firing line.

Multiple Firearms in One Case

Guests may transport two unloaded firearms in a single case. While not required, it is common to position firearms with their muzzles pointing in opposite directions.

When positioned this way:

  • Only the firearm with its muzzle pointing downrange may be removed when the case is opened.

  • The second firearm must be unloaded and must not be touched if its muzzle is oriented uprange.

To use both firearms:

  • Remove the first firearm.

  • Close the case, rotate it, then reopen to remove the second firearm with the muzzle downrange.

Re-casing follows the same process in reverse.

Sights & Optics:

All firearms must be equipped with functional sights or an optic to allow the shooter to properly aim and confirm impacts on the target

Controlled Substances & Odor Policy

To maintain a safe and respectful environment, individuals who arrive with a strong odor of marijuana or any other noticeable substance may be denied access for the day. If the smell is overwhelming and affects the comfort of others in the Pro Shop or on the firing line, we must take action to ensure all guests and staff feel safe and focused on the range.

CCW Policy

Concealed carry is permitted on-site, but we ask that you:

  • Inform LGR staff upon arrival

  • Speak to a Range Safety Officer (RSO) before firing your CCW

  • Disarm safely at the firing line under RSO supervision

  • Do not re-holster on-site (including in parking areas) unless under an RSO's supervision at the designated location.

Range Qualifications

Certain ranges (e.g., the 200-yard range) require safety qualifications due to their proximity to homes, vineyards, and roads.
Check with the Range Safety Officer for eligibility and procedures.

UNIVERSAL FIREARMS SAFETY RULES

The Four Rules of Firearms Safety

85074760_176204307019647_4507340655554461696_n.jpg

There’s no getting around it — these are the Four Rules that everything else is built on.

They’re universal. No matter where you are, what kind of firearm you’re handling, or how experienced you are, these rules always apply.

You’ll hear them from a Range Safety Officer on the Public Line, on the first day of a class, at every course, and likely again at your tenth match or your hundredth day on the range.

Why?

Because they work — and because they never stop mattering.

Before visiting your local range, we encourage you to slide through the Four Rules below to refresh your safety mindset. A quick review helps ensure you arrive focused, prepared, and aligned with the safety standards that keep everyone on the range safe.
