200-Yard Rifle Range Access & Rules

Overview

The 200-yard rifle range at Linden Gun Range is designed for shooters who are ready to operate safely and responsibly at extended distances. Because long-range shooting carries additional risk and responsibility, access to the 200-yard range is earned through qualification and maintained through continued adherence to our safety standards.

Use of the 200-yard range is a privilege, not a right. We expect all qualified shooters to treat the range, the equipment, and fellow shooters with professionalism and respect at all times.

How to Qualify for the 200-Yard Range

All shooters must qualify with a Range Safety Officer (RSO) before using the 200-yard range.

Qualification steps:

  • Qualify on the 100-yard range with an LGR Range Safety Officer

  • Demonstrate safe firearm handling, muzzle discipline, and the ability to manage equipment at a distance

  • Receive written authorization upon successful qualification

  • Report to the Pro Shop to purchase your 200-yard range badge

Your badge confirms authorization and must be obtained before accessing the 200-yard range.

Shared Facility & Availability

The 200-yard range is a shared facility and is only available on select dates due to events, maintenance, and scheduled programs.

To check availability:

  1. Visit the Range Calendar

  2. Type “200” into the search bar

  3. If the calendar does not state the 200-yard range is closed, it is generally available during:

    • Member-only hours, or

    • Public range hours, based on our hours of operation

Important Availability Note

When the calendar does indicate the 200-yard range is open, shooters must also review the event description carefully.

On some days, the 200-yard range may be shared or time-split with participants in our LGR Action Range Program. This may limit access, restrict shooting times, or designate specific periods for different users.

Always read the full calendar description to confirm:

  • Whether the range is fully open or shared

  • Any time blocks or restrictions

  • Program use that may affect access

Failure to review the description does not guarantee access.
