The Linden Gun Range Dream:

The San Joaquin Rifle & Pistol Range Inc (referred to as LGR) is looking to hire exceptional team members to expand and improve its capabilities and chase its dream to be the premiere outdoor shooting range in Northern California. 

 

As one of the few outdoor ranges left in California, we are devoted to bringing our patrons the best experience with top-notch customer service. We thrive off of the satisfaction of helping thousands of customers exercise their rights paired with the opportunity to have fun in a safe environment. We aim to expand our Pro Shop, add an armory, and offer an on-site dining experience, from coffee in the morning to brick oven pizza and refreshing beverages paired with some engaging activities like bocce ball, table tennis, or even cornhole, giving our community a safe and enjoyable day out on the range from arrival to departure.

 

We are building a robust and reliable firearms training academy for our members and public patrons. We want to offer our members a reason to come back day after day and to benefit from their loyalty to the LGR.  We want our events to be grand, our competitions to be top-notch, and to ensure our sales floor can offer a one-stop opportunity to collect the best, tested and reliable equipment to support them on their journey of successful firearms skills and proficiency.

The LGR is looking for self-motivated, alert, sharp, decisive, and tactful team members with excellent communication skills. Those who possess the ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others; approachable with great customer service and organizational skills. Integrity is imperative, with leadership skills, dependability, and a high degree of discretion in dealing with confidential information and can adapt as we move towards our dream.

The following departments are open for application. If you feel you have experience or possess the skills to fill one of these positions, please first fill out an application. We will discuss your abilities, goals, and experiences during your initial interview.  Each is listed with a job description; however, position listings can be paired if you are looking for a full-time career. During our initial interview, we will review the specifics for each that department and discuss compensation.

• LGR Range Safety Officer: The position will be on our public range, greeting patrons as they arrive, enforcing range rules & standard operating procedures, and ensuring range safety for all customers, employees, and visitors. To identify patrons creating hazardous shooting conditions and swiftly correct/cease any behavior that may result in a safety violation. You must have a general knowledge of firearms and safety procedures.

• LGR Pro Shop Sales Representatives:  Positively greet customers and ensure they are properly checked in using various computer programs, Point of Sale systems, and apps and to ensure patrons and members follow our standard operating procedures. You will answer phone calls and must possess the knowledge and ability to answer range-specific questions, ensure range safety video has been completed and all patrons and visitors have filled out liability waivers, and assist in selling any necessary equipment in our pro shop.

• LGR Membership Specialist: Duties and responsibilities include formulating membership policies and procedures, managing membership onboarding and retainment, and planning the use of the SJRPR and its subsidiaries' events to encourage membership enrollment and enhance their benefits. Assist in developing and implementing advertising and promotions to encourage applications, and generate interest in membership of the LGR.

• LGR Marketing and Events Specialist:  Plan, direct, and coordinate marketing and events of the SJRPR organization, to work cross-departmentally to ensure promotional and event success. To adequately promote each company division, oversee multiple departments and locations throughout the SJRPR, including the Linden Gun Range (LGR) and subsidiaries. Duties and responsibilities include developing marketing strategies, managing social media accounts, and developing events and incentives for using the SJRPR and its subsidiaries. Develop advertising and promotions, and assist in developing marketing plans and programs to generate interest in membership enrollment, products, and services of the SJRPR Inc.

• LGR Inventory Specialist: Duties and responsibilities include inventory procurement, sales, vendor relations, product trends, training Pro Shop sales Representatives, and planning the use of the SJRPR and its subsidiaries' events to encourage product movement. Work with our Marketing and Events specialist and other department associates to ensure our pro shop is stocked with reliable and tested equipment to ensure we support their programs, develop advertising and promotions in partnership with our specialist, and assist in developing marketing plans and programs to generate interest and inventory sales.

• LGR Academy​ Instructor:  To instruct its members and patrons safely and adequately to improve firearms skills and proficiencies and coordinate with the operations of the SJRPR organization and subsidiaries to encourage patron enrollment and opportunities to progress. From basic to advanced instruction, we are looking for many instructors with various backgrounds to ensure a robust training academy benefiting our members and patrons. Our goal is to provide subscription services both on the range and online, providing training options allowing them to reach their desired skill level. Additionally, offering practice sessions will allow them to repeatedly practice basic skills and proficiencies in short segmented blocks of time.
