Dear LGR Members,                                                                                                                     April 1, 2020

We are reopening Linden Gun Range Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Our range operations, procedures and protocols have been adjusted as explained below.

With new restrictions and limitations coming out daily to help contain the spread of COVID-19, we will continue to adapt our business practices to the restrictions and limitations necessary to keep our customers and staff safe.

“Safety Above All” is something that we take incredibly seriously at Linden Gun Range; always have. We are adhering to Federal, State, County, and City recommendations and requirements as we strive to help protect our customers and range staff. We are providing our staff facts about COVID-19 and reminding them to practice simple yet effective steps to keep them safe. We are disinfecting our facilities and equipment as appropriate. We also encourage our staff to take any signs of illness seriously and to seek medical attention as needed.

Note: If you or a family member has traveled internationally within the last month or have/ had a fever, persistent cough, or have been experiencing shortness of breath within the last 2 weeks, we ask that you please STAY HOME.

LGR will be working diligently to provide a clean and sanitary environment. However, we highly recommend the use of masks and gloves whenever deemed appropriate. Please bring personal hand sanitizer and cleaning products so that each individual does their part to maintain a clean space for their co-members. A sanitized shooting mat or towel for the shooting bench will also be required by each member. Be mindful and responsible.

Please help everyone remain safe by following the CDC guidelines referenced here:

We are in the process of implementing changes to our memberships under a locally based, fully approved and the operational non-profit organization known as Protecting Soldiers Rights (PSR). Under this new management plan, LGR will be able to bring the facility to its full potential with the continued support of our members. New membership dues will be TAX-DEDUCTIBLE. And as a working member with a volunteer program, you will receive much lower annual rates than a non-working member; you will also have priority access to range use and extended hours.

Many of you will have questions about rolling over to PSR membership and how the range will change because of it. We want to assure you that the range will remain the same, just more community-oriented and with tremendous opportunity to expand with the help of a Non Profit. We will be addressing these specifics further, as soon as we can.

We will continue to open bays for practices. Competitions are still being worked out but we plan to open it back up in a way that meets the recommendations of the CDC, and most importantly, provides protection to our competitors. We also anticipate our first matches to be open to members only.  A separate email will be sent to members regarding updated operating procedures once they have been finalized.

We will be opening up to our training companies with new restrictions and requirements for facilities use. We will be contacting them as soon as possible with updates.

With the recent growth in new firearm ownership, we anticipate starting a program to provide a 2 Hours Basic Firearms Safety and Range Etiquette program for those that are new to firearms and ranges.

(The following changes will be implemented until further notice.)

  • We are operating at 50% capacity.

  • We are opening to LGR members ONLY for the time being.

Thursday-Monday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • LGR Office and Firing Lines will CLOSE between the hours of 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. for scheduled disinfection/sanitizing of our facilities and equipment.

The last shots fired at 11:45 a.m. and 4:45 p.m.

  • In order to keep the overhead cost down, we will be adding garbage cans delegated for paper and plastics. We will utilize burn barrels to minimize our trash output in order to lessen the cost of Waste Management services. Please follow protocols to help us with this effort.

  • We plan on opening the outside service window to accept members who do not need to go inside the pro shop for items purchased.

  • We are limiting the number of individuals in the LGR Office to 2 people max or 1 individual and a group of 2 at another window. We are planning on installing a sneeze guard at each counter.

  • Maximum group size = 3 people (or a group that arrived in the same vehicle).

  • If there is a group currently in the LGR Office, please wait outside on a designated ‘X’ to maintain safe social distancing recommendations. Only after the office surfaces are sanitized and you are directed, you may enter the LGR Office to check in.

  • LGR Liability Waivers must be completed BEFORE arriving on the range. Complete your waivers at home. iPads will ONLY be available if you do not have access to a smartphone/device. Links to the waivers can be found on our website at

  • Rentals have been suspended until further notice, ie: no spotting scopes, bench rests, eye/ear protection, sandbags, etc.

  • As mentioned previously, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that shooters/groups wear masks & gloves and provide their own hand sanitizer/disinfectant to use liberally while on the range, during ceasefires, target changes, and before/after using facilities.

  • ALL members of a group must stay together and practice social distancing from those not in your group.

  • Once on the range, all non-shooters in a group must stay behind the red designated line, located directly behind the shooter of your group. When social distancing together, one adult and one youth or two adults at a bench are acceptable for safety and training purposes.

  • Every other bench will be open so each shooter is 6 ft. apart. One shooter and/or one group per bench. Please note: empty/unused benches are NOT for your gear or additional seating for your group. You must maintain distance on the firing line.

  • Firing bench surfaces must be protected by a clean shooting mat or towel - provided by the shooter/firearm owner.

  • In order to protect our staff, Range Safety Officers will use a “projected voice” in order to maintain social distances. It is imperative that each member stay alert, listen, and respect their RSO’s in order to maintain a safe working environment for everyone on the firing line.

  • Maximum shooters per range:

    • 7.5 yard pistol range = 3 (1 ADA)

    • 15 yard pistol range = 3 (1 ADA)

    • 25 yard pistol/shotgun/rimfire range = 7 (1 ADA, 1 Green, 1 Red)

    • 50 yard rifle range = 4 (1 ADA)

    • 100 yard rifle range = 5 (1 ADA)

    • 200 yard rifle range =  3 (1 ADA)

  • All benches are first come, first serve. If we are experiencing high volumes of shooters, we will limit the amount of range time to accommodate:

    • 7.5/15 yard pistol range = 1 hour max.

    • 25 yard pistol/shotgun/rimfire range = 1 hour max.

    • 50 yard rifle range = 2 hour max.

    • 100 yard rifle range = 2 hour max.

    • 200 yard rifle range = 2 hour max.

  • If you are waiting to use the range, you must remain in your vehicle until a bench becomes available.

  • We ask that everyone adhere to the CDC guidelines.

  • We will revisit and adjust procedures as deemed necessary.

  • Range Safety Officers may be trying to project their voices so they can maintain safe distances. Not all loud communication is a warning or disciplinary but be mindful of their instructions.

Considering times are changing drastically, we anticipate becoming a member-focused club. However, at some point, we plan to open to the public so that we can continue to cover facility overhead. We anticipate public days to be on weekends only. Weekdays will be reserved for members only. Public Re-Opening date will be established as we create a community within our Working Members.

In closing, we are proud to be recognized as an essential business during these times and are able to continue operating to provide a safe establishment where we can exercise our Second Amendment rights. We understand that these are unprecedented times and we call upon our members and staff to help keep our doors open. Please be patient with us and with each other as we work through these challenges together. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation and understanding and look forward to seeing you back on the range!
