LGR Academy

Who Can Join:

 

All the interested who own their own firearms. If you do not have a firearms, we do have rental options available.

MAXIMUM STUDENT COUNT IS 16

(DEPENDING ON THE PROGRAM)

All Programs/Modules/Clinics are CO-ed however we do host a  Please follow the link.

Youth:

​​

  • If you are under 18 years of age, you must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

  • Youth will be evaluated on their maturity and physical strength to ensure safe operation of a firearm.

  • Youth must be in high school in order to take the Basic Pistol Program & must complete and be approved before taking the Defensive Pistol Program. Once approved, the Defensive Modules are FREE for youth.

  • Basic Program (approved youth): $20

  • Defensive Shotgun & Carbine Programs: Free when approved & accompanied by legal guardian.

  • Please inquire prior about each class in order to be clear on whether or not your youth will qualify for  the FREE course.

Notifications:

 

Registration Confirmation Email:

Sent once registration has been submitted and payment has been rendered and will contain all required and suggested gear for the Module.  

 

Module Reminder Email:

 Sent at least 2 business days prior to the scheduled Module and will contain all required and suggested gear for the Module.

Refunds/Cancellations/

Re-schedules:

 

We do not offer refunds, however, in certain circumstances we will be happy to forward your payment to a future event. If you do not call to reschedule 2 days prior to event date, you will forfeit all funds.

 Ammo Count: 

 

We suggest bringing 100-400 rounds (depending on the course) of your caliber on every night you attend. We will send out email confirmations prior to each Module.

We carry ammo in our Pro-Shop. 

​

If in case you do not have access to the rounds, and have any amount less than 100, it would still be beneficial for you to attend. You can learn a lot by just firing 20 rounds. We also have ammunition in the front office if you don't have any when you make your way to the range. Calling a few days before to check our inventory for you caliber is also a good idea.

Suggested Attire:

 

Shirt with a thick jacket, rain jacket, medium-high neckline and sleeves, or an overshirt. Comfortable closed toes shoes.  Breech Flags, eye protection, & ear protection are required & available for purchase at the LGR Office.

Other Items to Bring:

​

​

Magazines, holsters, flashlights, knee pads, belts, chamber flags, ear protection and clear safety glasses (when the sun goes down),water, bug spray, hat, warm jacket or sweatshirt (as it is expected to cool down in the evenings).

​

Spectators:

 

NO SPECTATORS WILL BE ALLOWED DURING CLASSROOM OR LIVE-FIRE MODULES.

Short barreled rifle/AK/AR Pistols are permitted provided  that the customer is  in full compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations concerning ownership and transport of the short barreled rifle/AK/AR pistols.
